Most local communities have organizations that provide financial help to struggling families, both for emergency situations and long term needs. Find assistance near you from local charities, non-profits or government agencies, such as Human or Social Services. Anyone in need can find everything from help paying for food to grant money in their area for paying bills, ranging from housing to utilities and other expenses. There may be local transportation services, benefits for low-income families and more.

List of national organizations that provide help in local communities

There are many national charity agencies with thousands of local offices that offer financial help and other support that may be near you. These are national organizations that provide assistance to struggling people, whether money to pay bills, free boxes of food or something else. Over 2,000 local churches are part of the Catholic Charity organizations. They offer help to single parents, seniors, immigrants, women facing abuse and others. Whether financial help with bills or housing, or access to free material items, assistance will be available. Find a Catholic Charities near you.

The Salvation Army has over 8,000 locations, including some that will most likely be near you. The Christian charity provides emergency financial help, food, holiday assistance, money to pay utility bills or rent and more. A wide range of resources are offered and locate Salvation Army social services near you. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Conference, or SVDP, has churches and parishes in every state and community, with over 4,000 available. Get help near you with financial needs from the organization and locate a Society of St. Vincent de Paul near you. Local specialized help is available for housing, food, electric bills, rent, and other basic needs.
