Delta Human Resource Agency

can provide utility bill assistance to residents of Tipton, Lauderdale, and Fayette counties Tennessee. This is the local community action agency for the region, and they administer many resources. Other programs and services offered for low income can include housing assistance, information on Tennessee and federal government programs, free food, counseling, and much more. When facing a crisis, DHRA and its case managers can help qualified working poor or senior residents apply for funds for paying their bills. Some of the options include crisis LIHEAP for utility bills, and there are also sources of low interest loans for housing or rent expenses. Other financial aid may be arranged in Tipton County as well. The community action agency also administers several state and federal government programs, ranging from Head Start to referrals to SNAP food stamps.
